I am Nivia Ferreira, a UX/UI designer, researcher and lecturer with a particular interest in Arts and Design. I hold a MPhil, with a dissertation on game design and player experience, and I am a PhD student, with a thesis about game design and neuroscience, both in Design from the Anhembi Morumbi University (UAM-SP), Brazil. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás (PUC-GO) with practice-led research about interfaces for e-learning platforms.

Research
I have continuously been involved in academic research. I am part of DEED – Design, Entertainment, and Education Research Cluster and Global South Practices Design Research Cluster. Additionally, I am one of the founding members of “Gaming for all”, an event to promote diversity in the gaming industry and academia in Brazil.
